WELCOME TO MY CLASSROOM
My name is Jodi Johnson, and I am committed to showing every student who I have the pleasure of educating just how powerful words can be.
I will do my best this year to make reading and writing fun and exciting, while challenging your child to see what he or she is truly capable of doing. I love the English Language and literature, and I am committed to sharing my enthusiasm and passion with my students.
I am a firm believer that every student is gifted; it is my mission to assist each one of my students in developing his or her own unique gift. I want your child to understand that I care; I want them to learn. I will be glad to take time whenever necessary to help any student or parent in an effort to ensure that every student leaves my class with the essential skills to have a successful command of the English Language.
I earned my Bachelor of Science with a Major in Journalism and a Minor in English Language and Literature in 1995. After having children of my own and spending time in my their classrooms, I knew that my true calling is in education. I enrolled at Madonna University in 2010. While raising my own four boys and attending classes part time for three years, I was able to earn and maintain High Honor's Dean's List Status. I earned my Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification in Secondary Education with a Major in English and and a Minor in Journalism in April of 2013.
